What is in the stories, and how are they written?
Their fictional coffee company is the setting, and the person you know is its inspiration. The stories follow its launch and growth: first customers, new opportunities and business decisions along the way. We write them personally for their company using the details you share. Every release has its own chapter and illustrated cover. They can help shape the continuing adventure through optional decisions in their private Tasting Room.
Does the one-release gift include the full experience?
Yes. The Founding Edition includes their company name and logo, personalized illustrated package, personal story, opening release story, 12 oz of specialty coffee, printable Founder’s Certificate, personalized gift reveal, shareable company page and private Tasting Room. No later shipment is included in the one-release price.
How do the 3-, 6- and 12-release gifts work?
The first package introduces their company. Each later numbered release brings a new illustrated cover, a new chapter and another 12 oz coffee. Their company identity stays familiar as the collection grows. Their tasting preferences help guide later coffees. Two optional business decisions in each release help shape the company’s story as it grows. Later releases follow monthly after the first delivery.
Can this be for a couple?

Do I need a photograph?
No. You can add photos or choose a design inspired by meaningful places, objects and story details. You can add photos to your saved draft before payment.
When do I share the details? Can I save them?
Before you pay. The guided questions cover the recipient, their story, coffee choices, optional photos and timing. Your draft saves on this device; sign in to save it for another device. Review your answers before checkout.
Is this a recurring subscription?
No. You pay once for 1, 3, 6 or 12 releases, with no automatic renewal. Each purchased release is sent separately.
Can I choose when the first box arrives?
Choose “Ship when ready” or request a preferred first-delivery date before purchase. Review the estimated delivery window before checkout. A preferred date is a request, not a carrier guarantee.
How do the certificate and recipient announcement work?
Your personalized certificate is digital and printable. When the first package ships, we email the purchaser a gift announcement, private certificate access and a link they can share. The recipient can scan the QR code on their package to see who gave them their own coffee company. The purchaser can let the box deliver the surprise or share the welcome link themselves by email or text. We normally contact the purchaser about the gift. If a delivery deadline is at risk, we’ll contact you promptly and ask for the best way to coordinate with the recipient when needed.
